Thief: The Dark Project (1998) is one of the video games that changed history and set a standard for stealth-based game mechanics.

On top of the satisfying gaming experience and the beautiful, atmospheric settings in which the player is thrown, Thief remains one of the best video games for its "untold lore".

Gamers will find themselves in a unique, far-from-stereotypical medieval/fantasy world. What is outside, surrounding the actual events is as important as the gaming experience itself, portraying a very dark, unexpected, unsettling, twisted and perverse, demonic plot that unravels itself in obsession and makes every level a joy to savour and play, without rushing.

Thief was the first game in which sitting alone in the shadows was not scary: it was comfy.

Despite the lighthearted bombastic intentions of the main campaign, Syndicate turned out to be a very intimate and melancholic experience that leaves me with more farsickness than anything else. Austin's soundtrack played a huge role and every time I hear its wonderful verves, it brings me back to these beautiful feelings. Lovely music all throughout. replicant_hazard
